iPhone & iPad (iOS)

Synchronise your Pureweb mailbox with the Mail app on Apple mobile devices.

In this guide, you will configure the Mail app included in iOS to synchronise with webmail using the IMAP protocol. Changes made on one device will be reflected across all of your configured devices. This guide only applies to iPhones & iPads. For Apple desktops and laptops, please refer to the Apple Mail (macOS) setup guide.

Connecting your email account

  1. Log in at the top of this page to ensure these instructions are accurate for your account.
  2. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  3. Open the Mail account settings:
    • On iOS 18 and above: tap Apps, then Mail, then Mail Accounts.
    • On older versions: tap Mail, then Accounts.
  4. If upgrading from our old hosting: You will need to remove the old account first. Tap on the account and choose Sign Out or Delete Account. Confirm the removal if prompted.
  5. Tap Add Account.

  6. The next screen varies between device versions.

    • If it prompts for your email address: enter it, tap Next, then tap Add Other Account and Mail Account.
    • If you see a list of email providers: tap Other, then Add Mail Account.

  7. Enter the following information:

    Name
    Enter the name you'd like your email recipients to see
    Email
    Enter your email address
    Password
    Enter your mailbox password
    Description
    A name to assign to the account, displayed only to you

  8. After filling in the fields, tap Next, select IMAP.

  9. Complete the remaining fields:

    Incoming Mail Server

    Host Name
    imap.cloudisp.net Take care to enter these values exactly as shown, the majority of failures are caused by typos.
    User Name
    Enter your email address, even if it is marked as optional
    Password
    Enter your mailbox password Complete this field, even if it is marked as optional.

    Outgoing Mail Server

    Host Name
    smtp.cloudisp.net Ensure the incoming and outgoing server names are entered the correct way around.
    User Name
    Enter your email address, even if it is marked as optional
    Password
    Enter your mailbox password Complete this field, even if it is marked as optional.
  10. Confirm the settings you entered by tapping Next.
  11. Select Mail and Notes in the next window, then tap Save or Done.

When you open the Mail app, it will start downloading messages for the configured account.
