We are excited to announce a major upgrade to our email hosting platform.
After months of research, testing, and preparation, we are moving to a cutting-edge email platform with a strong focus on privacy, security, reliability, and usability.
Before we migrate your mailbox, each user needs to complete a quick pre‑upgrade check. This confirms that you can log in successfully and helps us identify any mailbox-specific issues before the move. This check takes less than a minute.

For most users, the monthly mailbox price will remain unchanged as the price of our standard mailbox is staying the same. As part of the move to the upgraded mail platform, the standard mailbox storage will change to 8GB. This is sufficient for most mailboxes, but users with larger mailboxes may require a higher storage tier.
The upgraded mail service offers a range of storage options, from 8GB up to 100GB. For users requiring more than 8GB of storage, the 25GB mailbox tier will cost an additional $2.50+gst per month.
For existing mailboxes on the 25GB tier, the new pricing will not take effect until your next billing date. Until then, you can move between the 8GB and 25GB tiers at the 8GB price. At your next billing date, your mailbox will be invoiced according to the storage tier it is on at that time.
To avoid any mailbox starting too close to the 8GB limit, mailboxes currently using more than 6GB will initially be placed on the 25GB tier. You can request to move up or down storage tiers at any time. Our pre-upgrade check will check your current usage and provide a report.
Our automated migration will transfer your email history, webmail contacts and default webmail signature. The following will not migrate automatically, but we can assist where needed: Webmail mailing lists, filters/rules, webmail calendar entries, webmail tasks & webmail notes.
We found that the Calendar, Notes and Tasks areas of our current webmail system were largely unused because they could not be synchronised with apps. While not included in the new webmail by default, Calendar & Task management will remain available for users on our Plus plan, which offers CalDAV/CardDAV sync support.
We’ll be in touch with a proposed switch‑over date. After the switch-over, you should use the new webmail link that we will supply. All your email and contacts will be there.
All IMAP-compatible email apps continue to be supported, including Outlook (classic), Apple Mail, Thunderbird, iPhone & Android devices. Once your mailbox has been migrated and the final switch‑over has happened, you will need to remove the old email account from your mail app and add it back again. It may take a while for the app to re‑download your email history to the device.
A note about Outlook: Outlook continues to be supported, however we do not recommend using the free Outlook
app bundled with Windows. This version of Outlook has a more limited feature set than classic Outlook
and uses Microsoft’s cloud-sync system, where your mailbox is synchronised to Microsoft’s cloud before appearing in
the Outlook app. This creates privacy concerns, compatibility issues, and confusing behaviour for users.
For users who prefer a direct and private connection to their mailbox, we recommend other free alternatives
such as webmail or Thunderbird.
Thunderbird is a privacy-focused alternative to Outlook, downloadable
