Apple Mail (macOS)
Synchronise your Pureweb mailbox with the Mail app on Apple computers.
In this guide, you will configure the Mail app preinstalled on Apple computers to synchronise with webmail using the IMAP protocol. Changes made on one device will be reflected across all of your configured devices. This guide only applies to Apple desktops and laptops. For Apple mobile devices, please refer to the iPhone & iPad setup guide.

If you have recently been upgraded to our new email hosting, or if your mailbox has moved to us from another provider, please ensure you have removed the old account from your device before following these steps. Apple Mail does not support more than one mailbox to be configured for the same email address.
Email configuration
- Log in at the top of this page to ensure these instructions are accurate for your account
- Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older versions)
- Click Internet Accounts
- In the list of accounts you can configure, select Add Other Account…
- Click Mail Account
In the window that opens, enter the following information:
- Name
- Enter the name you'd like your email recipients to see
- Email Address
- Enter your email address
- Password
- Enter your mailbox password
After completing the fields, click Sign In and fill in the remaining fields for the mail server:
- Account type
- IMAP
- Incoming mail server
- imap.cloudisp.net
- Outgoing mail server
- smtp.cloudisp.net
- User Name (if shown)
- Enter your email address
Click Sign In again to confirm the details entered and make sure that Mail & Notes are selected in the next window. Finally, click Done.
When you open the Mail app, it will start downloading messages for the configured account.
