iPhone & iPad (iOS)

Synchronise your Pureweb mailbox with the Mail app on Apple mobile devices.

In this guide, you will configure the Mail app included in iOS to synchronise with webmail using the IMAP protocol. Changes made on one device will be reflected across all of your configured devices. This guide only applies to iPhones & iPads. For Apple desktops and laptops, please refer to the Apple Mail (macOS) setup guide.

Important information

If you have recently been upgraded to our new email hosting, or if your mailbox has moved to us from another provider, please ensure you have removed the old account from your device before following these steps. Apple Mail on iOS does not support more than one mailbox to be configured for the same email address.

Email configuration

  1. Open Settings
  2. Choose Mail from the list
  3. Tap Accounts, then Add Account, and select Other
  4. Choose Add Mail Account

In the window that opens, enter the following information:

Name
Enter the name you'd like your email recipients to see
Email
Enter your email address
Password
Enter your mailbox password
Description
A name to assign to the account, displayed only to you

After filling in the fields, tap Next, select IMAP and complete the remaining fields:

Incoming Mail Server

Host Name
imap.cloudisp.net
User Name
Enter your email address, even if it is marked as optional
Password
Enter your mailbox password Complete this field, even if it is marked as optional.

Outgoing Mail Server

Host Name
smtp.cloudisp.net Note this is different from the host name for the incoming mail server. Double-check these are entered the correct way around.
User Name
Enter your email address, even if it is marked as optional
Password
Enter your mailbox password Complete this field, even if it is marked as optional.

Confirm the settings you entered by tapping Next, select Mail and Notes in the next window, and tap Save.

When you open the Mail app, it will start downloading messages for the configured account.
