Android (based on Samsung Email)
Synchronise your Pureweb mailbox on your Android mobile phone
Our email service is compatible with all Android email apps using the IMAP protocol. The steps below are for configuring Samsung devices with Samsung Email installed. The steps for other email apps will be similar.
In this guide, you will configure Samsung Email to synchronise with webmail using the IMAP protocol. Changes made on one device will be reflected across all of your configured devices.
Email configuration
- Open the Email app on your phone. If this is your first account, you'll be prompted to select an account type. Otherwise, tap the gear icon in the side menu and choose Add account.
- Choose Other as the account type.

Enter the details for your account:
- Email address
- Enter your email address
- Password
- Enter your mailbox password
- Tap Sign in to proceed.

Select IMAP as the account type.

Complete the remaining fields:
Account
- Email address
- Enter your email address
- Username
- Enter your email address again
- Password
- Enter your mailbox password
Incoming Mail
- IMAP server
- imap.cloudisp.net Ensure these fields are entered correctly. The most common failures are due to typos.
- Security type
- SSL
- Port
- 993
Outgoing Mail
- SMTP server
- smtp.cloudisp.net Ensure the incoming and outgoing settings are entered the correct way around.
- Security type
- SSL
- Port
- 465
- Check that Require authentication to send email is enabled
Important: While some fields may be correctly pre-filled, others may contain incorrect values, particularly the IMAP & SMTP servers. Double-check they are correct before proceeding.

Tap Sign in.

Once complete, the configuration window will close and Samsung Email will start synchronising your mailbox.
We also recommend checking that the sync period is set correctly. This configures how much email is stored locally on your device.
- Open the side menu
- Tap the gear icon
- Tap the account you just configured
- Set Email sync period to 1 month, or your preference
