Android (based on Samsung Email)

Synchronise your Pureweb mailbox on your Android mobile phone

Our email service is compatible with all Android email apps using the IMAP protocol. The steps below are for configuring Samsung devices with Samsung Email installed. The steps for other email apps will be similar.

In this guide, you will configure Samsung Email to synchronise with webmail using the IMAP protocol. Changes made on one device will be reflected across all of your configured devices.

Email configuration

  1. Open the Email app on your phone.
  2. If this is the first email account you've added to this phone then you will be prompted to select an account type. If this happens, skip to step 7.

  3. Tap the icon, then the icon to access the settings area.
  4. If you are upgrading from our old hosting, you will need to remove the old account first:
    • In the list of accounts at the top, tap on the old account.
    • Tap the Remove button in the top-right corner, then confirm.
  5. Tap Add Account.

We also recommend checking that the sync period is set correctly. This configures how much email is stored locally on your device.
